Description
This setting determines the maximum amount of time (in minutes) that a granted session ticket can be used to access a particular service. Session tickets are used only to authenticate new connections with servers. Ongoing operations are not interrupted if the session ticket used to authenticate the connection expires during the connection.

1. Analyze the system using the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in.

2. Expand the Security Configuration and Analysis tree view. Navigate to Account Policies -> Kerberos Policy.

3. If the “Maximum lifetime for service ticket” is greater than ‘600’ minutes, then this is a finding.

Configure the Kerberos policy option Maximum lifetime for service ticket to a maximum of 600 minutes or less.
